Christian Martinisi was a 6-year-old boy who loved the outdoors. He attended the Young Naturalist Preschool at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. Christian loved to play at the Museum's Nature play area, Grasshopper Grove, with his friends from school, and with his brothers, Anthony and Nicky.  He was adventurous, always exploring the outdoors, climbing trees and investigating the world around him. He participated in many events at the Museum including one of his favorites- the Family Camp-Out. This scholarship honors his wonderful adventurous spirit by providing the opportunity for other children to experience the joys of playing in nature at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's summer camp.

The Christian Martinisi Scholarships will be given for the Explorers Camp at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. Any week may be chosen, but an alternate week should be selected in case the chosen week is full.

To be eligible for a scholarship, your child must attend one of the Cornwall Elementary schools.  Three of the four scholarships offered will be awarded based on financial need.  One scholarship will be awarded to a Willow Ave Kindergartener who embodies “the spirit of Christian.”
