Hike for a cause
Now in its 13th year, the Hike-a-Thon is one of the Nature Museum’s primary fundraisers and all
of the money raised goes directly to supporting nature education and play.

Every year thousands of children come to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum to hike the trails, meet the animals, and participate in our science and nature based education programs, including school field trips, preschool, and summer camp. They leave with a greater understanding of the environment and their place in it; they’re a little more willing to unplug from the digital world they live in and reconnect to the natural world they belong to.
Time spent in nature is absolutely vital for a child’s healthy development. And because children who experience nature will love it, and children who love nature will grow to be adults who protect it, it’s crucial to the well-being of our planet too.
Please donate to support nature play and education at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum! Your donation will be used to give children from across the Hudson Valley the opportunity to experience the wonder of nature first-hand, planting the seeds environmental ethics in each of them. Please make a donation of at least $10 per person planning on attending the HIke-a-Thon!
